Citizens get road asphalted in Attiguppe ward
May 23, 2014• By Team Icmyc
A manhole which was not constructed properly and a cross road which was in a shabby state were the main woes of the residents of 8th A cross, Netaji Layout in Attiguppe ward.
Due to the faulty manhole work the mud crumbled from inside and blocked the manhole, emitting foul smell. The cross road had potholes that accumulated dirty water which added to the already existing issues.
The residents used to call up the authorities concerned, who solved the problem temporarily with some patch work.
Aditya and his wife Akhila, residents of the area decided to post a complaint on ‘I Change My City’ with an aim to solve the problem permanently.
Their complaint was followed up by the authorities, who have asphalted the entire road.
The majority of the problem is now solved and Akhila says she is pleased with the work. “Now, the manhole needs some minor repairs from the inside, which I am confident that BWSSB will take it up at the earliest,” she says.
