Krishna’s complaint fixes Amruth Nagar potholes

Bangalore’s potholes are leaving a dent on the city’s image. However, with pro-active citizens like Krishna Sathyanarayana around, the city is sure to be fixed for good.

A huge depression at a junction on Amruth Nagar main road, as well as other potholes on the same road troubled Krishna, while other citizens turned a blind eye to the problem.

The unscientific road conditions became a hotspot for mishaps, and also caused traffic jams.

Krishna who had heard about ‘I Change My City’ from a friend decided to raise the issue on the portal, and even clicked photographs to give the civic authorities a clear picture about the problem.

A few days after he posted a complaint on I Change My City, he received a call from the BBMP, which gave an assurance to complete the work at the earliest, and the work was completed in a week’s time.

Krishna is happy with the quality of the work, and has also posted pictures of the repairs done by BBMP. However, with rains lashing the city, he fears - what if the road would goes back to its pathetic state.

“There is a need to undertake some permanent measures and solve the pothole issues in the city”, he says. He thanks I Change My City, for heralding a positive change. "I am happy that this portal gives people a platform to voice their woes. I shall continue to post complaints, and have urged my friends to do so”, concludes Krishna.
