I am fed up of commuting through Marathahalli junction- Kundanahalli Gate but I have little to no choice as this is the only road that leads to my work place.
Traffic pile ups maybe a common scene here every day but it's high time we did something about it. The time spent navigating through these jam packed roads takes a toll on commuters physically and mentally.
One of the major causes of these traffic hold-ups is indiscriminate parking of private buses and trucks on the Marathahalli bridge. Also vehicles travelling from Old Airport road and Outer Ring road converge at this point, causing the traffic snarls. A bus stop at this point is just a cherry on top!
A new U-turn opened up here is an extremely dangerous one as vehicles obstruct traffic coming from three other sides of the bridge while putting several lives at peril.
To make matters worse, potholes add to our woes. Giant craters derail traffic and we gamble with our lives every time it rains. The pleas of most other commuters and mine have fallen on deaf ears.
Granted that this part of town is relatively newer, but the very fact that this part of the city houses some of the biggest companies, and a large group of citizens travel on the route every day, demands that basic amenities such as good roads be provided to us. The government must do something to build or improve the existing corridor that can ably accommodate the huge influx of vehicles plying on this route every day.
Help me raise my voice to the concerned civic authorities. Let's join hands to draw their attention to help ease the problem of incessant traffic. VOTE UP. Let's make a change.
